Quiet Day – report

Ladies’ Quiet Day – Marjon – with Lori Richards

This was our third Ladies’ Quiet Day, and each one has been different. We met with ladies from at least three churches, which added to the depth of our experience of God’s presence during the day.

Lori began by reminding us that we are God’s precious children in Christ, and that Jesus says ‘My sheep know my voice’, so that we should expect to hear God’s voice when we pray. So often our prayers are one way … we ask God to do something … but we rarely set time aside to hear from him.

So we spent time listening, asking God for a word or a name, sometimes alone, sometimes with a partner … sometimes totally outside our comfort zone! There were some very special moments during the day, and we all left wishing we had more time to continue 🙂 So our prayer now is very simple – help us keep on praying as we learned today.
