Hidden Treasure

October 1, 2017

We had a very special time last Saturday, when we met at Marjon’s chapel for our women’s quiet day. Led by Suzanne Dugmore, we began by looking at Matthew 13:44-46,

44 ‘The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

45 ‘Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46 When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

Suzanne encouraged us to make use of silence to spend time with God. She also brought along some craft for us to use in worship, as well as some of her own artwork to encourage and inspire us. The chapel itself added to the inspiration:

Those who went will be sharing more of their blessings with us in our service next Sunday, October 8th.
