We’re starting to get excited about our prayer party tomorrow and very much hope you can make it.
We’re going to start with food at 6pm. There will be fresh bread supplied, please bring along meat, cheese, salad etc. and something to drink.
Then at 7pm we are going to consider the questions Rev Tim posed at the end of the Sunday sermon:
If Paul was writing a letter to St Michael’s and St Barnabas…
…what would he thank God for?
…what would he pray to God about us?
… where would he encourage us?
…where would he challenge us?
Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, O Lord. Renew them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.

For the next two weeks – May 31st and June 7th the Thursday evening group “Know the Word” isn’t meeting at the Vicarage.
Come along to St Michael’s instead! If you have never been before, just come along. It’s happening at 7.30pm – and there is plenty of room to bring a friend.
And on June 14th it’s time for another Prayer Party – watch this space for more details.

Open to all men to do stuff together, to pray and to support and encourage one another.
Why not come along?

During Lent this year, our Thursday evening small group, which meets at the Vicarage, is following a Lent course from 40acts.
40acts is the generosity challenge for Lent, created by UK Christian charity, Stewardship. For seven years, 40acts has asked a question: what if Lent could be about more than just giving stuff up? What if it could be a time of radical generosity as well as spiritual discipline?
Over the years, 40acts has become a movement of over 100,000 people on a mission to impact their communities with generosity – during Lent and beyond.
Find out more at 40acts.org.uk
You can find the study guide here – join us for the discussion at the Vicarage on Thursdays at 7:30pm 🙂

If you missed last week’s small group meeting on Thursday, the material is now online here … but there’s still time to join in, since the group will continue the study at their next meeting, on Thursday March 1st, 1:30pm at St Michael’s.
