Devonport Park summer events

June 17, 2018

Today the Friends of Devonport Park are holding a Sunday Summer Fayre in the park from 12noon – 5pm … bring your lunch with you and join in – or buy it there! Support our local park, and be a presence in our local community. Talk to Tim if you would like to help make the church visible.

Live music on the bandstand including the park’s very own Community Choir, Soundhouse Brass, Kat Towers and Jeff Horsey plus refreshments and sales of plants, books and bric a brac. Other stalls too as usual for these lovely occasions. Bring friends and family and enjoy a day out whilst supporting the work of the Friends in the Park. (from the event Facebook page)

Plymouth History Festival

April 30, 2018

175 YEARS OF HISTORY AT ST MICHAEL’S DEVONPORT
Saturday 12 May, 10am to 4pm
St Michael’s Church, 29 Albert Road, Plymouth PL2 1AB
In 2018 a Plymouth church celebrates a remarkable story of survival as it marks its 175th anniversary. Built as the poor man’s church in 1843, St Michael’s was destroyed by bombing in 1941. Rebuilt and re-opened in 1953 after the war, the second St Michael’s became unusable because of the poor quality of the building work. The third St Michael’s opened in 2009 and in this exhibition we want to celebrate the past and look forward to the future. There is full disabled access into the church. Only on street parking is available.
Free / No need to book

Craft day in pictures!

April 29, 2018

We had a great time at our craft day on Thursday … people were in and out all day, some joining us for our bring and share lunch before going in to church for our small group bible study.

Our next craft day is on 17th May, 10am – 4pm at St Michael’s. The church will be open all day, and the kettle is always hot 🙂 Bring your craft, and some lunch to share, or simply drop in for a cuppa and some good company. All welcome.
