Day 33: James 5:9

Day 33Don’t grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door (James 5:9)!

What’s so wrong with grumbling? We all like to grumble, whether it’s about the weather or the local football team or the length of the sermon. Where’s the harm in that? Actually grumbling is the opposite of honest, loving communication. It is a persistent, low-level disease which breeds dissatisfaction and ingratitude.

Today see how many blessings you can count during the day.

If you want to reflect further, consider what happened when the people of Israel grumbled in Psalm 78:9-22.
