40 Days of Reflection Day19:Ephesians 4:31-32

Day 19Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another… (Eph 4:31-32).

What is your natural reaction when someone upsets, offends or slights you? It’s so easy to speak or act first, and then think later. Being kind and compassionate in those situations is certainly not easy! But it does prevent the situation from worsening, and even more importantly it testifies to the presence of Jesus in our lives.

Today pray for the Holy Spirit to make you act more like Jesus when someone does you wrong.

If you want to reflect further, listen to the advice given in Proverbs 15:1 and put it into practice!
