Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited (Romans 12:15-16).
If we are really going to love as Jesus first loved us we need to know the person we are trying to love. We have to enter their world, discover their joys and their sorrows, their hopes and their fears. This takes time and that’s difficult, especially when we are so busy. But it does mean we avoid the trap of looking down on others, when we don’t really understand them.
Today spend some quality time with just one person and find out more about them.
