We are N

Have you seen this symbol around the internet? Thousands of people have joined together online to express solidarity with persecuted Christians in Iraq, using the #WeAreN.

N or ن in Arabic, is the symbol used by the Islamic State (IS or ISIS) to identify who is a Nazarene – a Christian. It has been drawn on doorways and in front of houses in captured Iraqi cities, allowing militants to quickly ascertain where the loyalties of the inhabitants lie. Christians around the world have adopted the symbol, both individuals and organisations … television stations, aid organisations,  newspapers … to highlight the plight of those affected.

We at St Michael’s have joined the campaign by changing the logo on our end window … you can see it clearly from Albert Road. It’s a reminder to keep praying and protesting … for suggestions as to other things you can do see here and here
