The Dominican Republic has been ruled for many centuries by the Spanish, where Catholicism is the official religion but many follow African spiritists religions. Pray for the churches seeking to establish a vibrant gospel witness; for the government facing massive inequalities between rich and poor; and for the many tens of thousands of illegal refugees from its neighbour Haiti who form a large underclass.
